KROON AdBlue is a high quality urea solution, especially developed for all vehicles with the automotive SCR catalytic converter to meet the Euro IV, Euro V or Euro VI emission demands. By injecting AdBlue into the SCR catalytic converter, all harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) are immediately reduced into harmless nitrogen and water.

What is AdBlue®?
AdBlue® is a high quality urea solution that is easy to use

AdBlue® is the VDA registered trademark for Aqueous Urea Solution 32.5% that is used with the Selective Catalytic Reduction system (SCR) to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen from the exhaust of diesel vehicles.
AdBlue® is a 32.5% solution of high-purity urea in de-mineralized water that is clear, non-toxic and safe to handle. It is non-explosive, non-flammable nor harmful to the environment.
AdBlue® is classified under the minimum risk category of transportable fluids.
AdBlue® is neither a fuel, nor a fuel additive and needs to be used in a dedicated tank in your vehicle. It is replenished in a similar way to refueling diesel.
Should you spill AdBlue® on your hands, simply wash it off with water.

Why does AdBlue® quality matter?
Various actions can affect the quality of AdBlue®. To prevent contamination, it is imperative that foreign materials do not come into contact with the solution.
Using contaminated AdBlue® can lead to expensive catalyst replacement costs.
The AdBlue® trademark is currently owned by the German Association of the Automobile Industry (VDA), who ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with ISO 22241 specifications.
Ensure that you only buy a reagent for your diesel engined vehicles that bears the name AdBlue® with the registered trademark (®) on the product label.
Buying AdBlue® from BlueCat® is a guarantee of the correct specification required for use with your SCR technology.

How much AdBlue® do I need?
Average consumption of AdBlue® in Heavy Goods Vehicles is generally 5% of diesel use, while in cars it is approximately 1 litre of AdBlue® every 1000 kilometre.
How should I store AdBlue®?
AdBlue® can be stored for 1 year if this is done in a correct manner, i.e., away from direct sunlight.
It needs to be kept in ambient conditions.
Its freezing point is at -11 degrees Celsius. When it thaws, the product will retain its initial quality.
It should be stored in a sealed package and in a well-ventilated storage area.

Why should I choose SCR with AdBlue® over other technologies?
AdBlue® combined with SCR offers you a fuel efficient solution, with lower CO2 emissions than competitive solutions. All major European and North American truck manufacturers currently offer SCR equipped models.
